The covid-19 total tally in Manipur has surged to 71 today after NINE more cases were recorded in the state this include international boxer Dinko. Meanwhile, two covid-19 patients at RIMS recovered today. Three females aged 26, 21 and 19 years tested positive last night at the Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), JNIMS, and a 20-year-old man from Sekmai in Imphal West District also tested positive at VRDL, RIMS Imphal, according to Dr Sasheekumar Mangang, additional director and spokesperson of Health Department, Manipur. Among the three females, the 26-year-old is a Delhi returnee and she belongs to Imphal East District. The other two female patients are Pune returnees and belong to Kangpokpi district. The male patient from Sekmai recently returned to the state from Delhi. The patients have been admitted to the covid care facility at JNIMS and RIMS. Now, the number of active cases stand at 60 after 11 have been recovered and discharged in the state.
